Phono 1.7a released

A new release of Phono is on market, here the changelog:


Improved and added many logos (on many request I added a colored line to the EE logo so to distinguishes the network to which you are connected between t-mobile and orange)

 I try to improve TIM logo, I can't use the original cause it is not quite square and it will result unreadable.

The add ons list is enabled now though at the moment there are no add-ons available in the market, I'm working on and as you can see the first add-on will be relative to the state of gsm connection, it will alarm you (through sound, notification, led and or vibration) if your device will lost the signal.

Many thanks to Rick Gamble for his precious help on EE logo.

Phono 1.7 released

The new release of Phono is on market, here the changelog:

• Fixed bug for devices use JB 4.2
• Added new widget style (holo and more line infos on 2x1 holo)
• Added activity style (holo dark & light)
• Improved and added many logos (i try to do always my best...but my graphic skill isn't the best)
• Added add on possibility (I'm working on .....so stay tuned)
• New Czech localization (thanks to Jirs)

ASAP I will try to update the supported providers page.....be patient I try always to do my best...

Force to close on android 4.2

There is a problem with the last release of android that cause a force to close of Phono, it seems to be an issue in the external memory size calculation routine.
We will fix asap.

S3 signal strength issue SOLVED!

Tommaso, old Phono's friend, reported me that with the last Samsung update the signal sterngth issue is solved!!

S3 signal strength issue

S3 signalstrenght issue (the same as S2 with ginger)

Samsung after more than one year, through the release of the 4.0.x version of Android, has solved the problem of updating the GSM signal strength on S2. Now the same problem is presenting on the new S3 ..... We hope that Samsung does not require years to correct this bug! In the meantime, please do not blame me there is nothing I can do to fix it!

Published new Phono release candidate (1.6h RC1)
Added some requested logos and fixed Kuwait VIVA logo.

Phono 1.6g update (fast update)

This is a fast update to fix bug on Android 4.0.4 and HSPA+ networks
Sorry for all the unresolved requests but the 4.0.4 bug had priority!
ASAP new logos will be updated.

Phono 1.6f rc2 fixed 4.0.4 issue

Thanks to Michael (hystorical Phono's user that reported and tested the patch) in our download page you'll find Phono 1.6f rc2.
This new candidate release fixed some issue on devices use android 4.0.4.

It is now almost 2 years since the first release of Phono on the market, more than 158000 people use it, actually Phono supports 487 country code on 104 countries and 137 name based carries.

The great goal of this past year was to support the virtual operator.

We will continue to work for support Phono in the best way, listening users, answer to any request asap and implement new functions and UI.

Clarification on new styles

In the last releases (1.6d and 1.6e) we introduced two new styles, "Logo only" for 1x1 widget and "Big logo + signal" for 2x1 widget, both have been inserted in place of two styles ("Ghost black" and "Minimalist black)" that after the possibility of managing the text color were duplicated.
If you liked those styles you can use "Ghost" or "Minimalist white" and set the text colors in the preferences.
