Phono unpublished from store

We decided to temporarily unpublish Phono from Google store, the reason is that we are not ready to for Android Q.
We thought to be ready for the first stable release but the work commitments are slowing down the update.
If someone would have the Phono 1.10 could write me to get it.

Phono update 1.10

Phono release 1.10 is available on the store!!
Change log:

• updated and added many logos
• added FAB to get shortcut to preferences and methods to link the logo
• Widget 4×1 are now resizable (ok not so nice but working)

Please note:
Android 8.1 required ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION permission to show WiFi SSID

you have not to be worry about your privacy, Phono hasn't internet permission so all the showed data can't be shared or showed outside your device!

Phono 1.9h update

Finally the 1.9h release is available on Play Store!

Just to be clear, about the dual SIM devices:
Phono supports dual sim devices but it shows only the slot 1 sim that's not because we are lazy but because android doesn't support natively dual sim device, so developers hasn't the instrument for implement the same function for the 2 slot.....I'm sorry!

This release fixed around 50 logos the main changes are:

• added Jio logo as mccmnc and as name based logo
• fixed German logo after the e-plus and O2 merge, both logos are available as name based logo too

Lockscreen notification:
with Android 7.x.x Phono the lockscreen notification hide works perfectly, just to set it in the Phono preferences.
For Android 6.x.x or early release you need to follow this little guide:

Phono 1.9g review

This is an unusual post, but I received this review from a user and I would like to share it with the blog followers:

Phono 1.9g Update

There wasn't post about the updates between 1.9b and 1.9g because nothing relevant was changed, these updates are focalized to fix and satisfied logos request.

Phono 1.9b update

Just published the 1.9b update, it fixed a bug on Android 6.0 that caused the Phono's stop error.

This issue happened if the network icon was active in the notification and if the device was in airplane mode active.

Added and update some logos.

Phono 1.9a update (new android wear support)

The new realse contains some new features and some fixing, here the changelog:

Fixing

• fixed bug on roaming notification, now it will be showing only one time
• fixed the notification on device with android release before the 5.x.x
• removed the possibility to share info trought SMS (that caused an error) 
• minor bug fixed

New features

• added android wear support (see images below) 
• added wifi frequency for devices with Android 5.x.x or more recent
• added and updated  some carrier logos

Phono 1.9 how to hide notification in the lock screen

Here step by step the right procedure to hide the Phono notification from the lock screen.

STEP 1
Go in Setting and choose "Sound & notification"

STEP 2
Choose "When device is locked" option

STEP 3
Than "Hide sensitive notification content"

STEP 4
Go to Phono preferences and tap on "LockScreen Notification" and choos "NO"

That's all!

NOTE with the "Hide sensitive notification content" option active ALL the notification will have the sensitive text (normally the sencond line of that) hidden.

Phono 1.9 update

Just update Phono to the 1.9, this release has many changes above all in the notification system.
Now the notification is more clear, it contains bright information about the carrier and the used network, we added the possibility to show the network icon (Mobile or WiFi).
In this release is possible to hide the notification in the lock screen to do that you must already have setting the Android notification system in private mode (we post more details about it soon).

Here the changelog:

• Lockscreen, show or hide notification, read notes please!
• Priority of the notification (high / medium / low)
• WiFi / Mobile icon option in the notification
• Text information on the type of connection in the notification
• Ability to use logos based on the name line or custom even when abroad

This is a fast update to fix 1.8a bug with android 2.x.

Phono update 1.8a

This release fix some LTE signal strength issue that we found on some devices ....and I really hope with this to close definetly this kind of bugs, so finally we can dedicate to improve the notifications an the user interface (widget incluse).....
here the changelog:

• fixed LTE signal strength bug
• added and fixed some logos
• honeycombfix option enabled by default to prevent ricurring notification (remember if you need you can always disable it in Phono preferences)

Phono update

After some months of silence we are back with some Phono update, from release 1.7b we gone to 1.8....here the chancelogs:

• 1.7c Fixed a big issue with uk network that introduced the wifi calls, that's caused Phono crash because the network type wasn't include in our network type array, we were not guilty about it, because UK networks doesn't respect the Android parameters....

Phono tested with Android L

Today we tested Phono (rel. 1.7b) with the developers preview of Android L, no problem was found with the emulator. Here are the screen shoots:

DashNet & DashCallLog extensions update

Just released an update for DashNet & DashCallLog extensions, that allows more compatibility with custom ROM.

[SOLVED] Why DashNet or DashCallLog aren't visible in Dashclock?

Finally I discovered why on some custom ROM (eg: SlimBeam) my dashclock extensions aren't visible!!!
These ROMs includes in bundle a different release of dashclock (else numbered as 1.5) that doesn't includes the new dashclock API (2.0).
DashNet and DashCallLog are compiled including the new dashclock API and this is the reason why they aren't visible on the main widget.........don't ask me the reason of that.....but I compiled the DashNet 1.5.2 with the old API (1.1) and it works like it must.... here the link for this special release:

DashCallLog will be soon.
Official release are on market and are always recommended if works with your ROM.

DashNet extension update 1.5

Just published a DashNet update, in this release we introduced optionally the real time signal strength for WiFi and Mobile connections.
The real time signal strength is optimized to save battery and reduce the Dashclock blink. 
We tested it on GSM networks....and remember to activate the real time signal strength in the DashNet preferences.
Many thanks to Terminal7 for the beta test of this release and to all the Phono dev team for the help.

DashNet & DashCallLog on xda

DashCallLog extension for DashClock

DashCallLog is an extension for Dashclock widget that showing the last call and optionally the last received / dialed and missed calls.

For each call will be displayed:

• Call type
• Caller name (number if absent)
• Date and time (in optional formats)
• Duration

The last call, regardless of type, will always be displayed, if the default options will be activated the secondary lines will be shown the last received calls / made ​​or lost.
Can also select the date format and the format of the type of call, including graphics, text, both, or none.
If there are no calls DashCallLog will not be shown.

Tapping on the widget will open the call history.
Suggestions and comments are welcome!

 

DashNet extension update 1.2

Just update DashNet as some users requested, here the changelog:

• Added optionally WiFi signal strength dBm in the main widget (be careful it could use more battery, not in my test, and cause some blinking in the widget)
• Added optionally the option to hide DashNet from main widget if in WiFi

About the WiFi signal strength I tested for some week and I did not notice a drain on the battery, I noted on my nexus7 (WiFi only) a fairly frequent blinking in DashClock, that doesn't happened on my Galaxy Nexus.....so take it as it is, I'm here to listen suggestions and comments.
